ICSG estimates that secondary refined copper production rose 4.3% in January–July 2026, while mine production fell 1%. Its preliminary global refined-copper balance shows a 32,000-tonne surplus before adjustment for Chinese bonded stocks. These figures describe the first seven months, not September production.
